Just listed all these items, plus some non-scary stuff over at my shop. The Baby Fangster Hat is Limited Edition - I will only be making one of these hats available in my shop this year, so if you like it please act fast - once it's gone it's gone :)

FREE PATTERN: Dal/Byul Basic Earflap Hat

This week I thought I'd share my pattern for my Basic Earflap Hat, in Dal/Byul size :)

This size hat is very similar to the Neo Blythe version, except for a few less rows and a smaller hook. But it's generally the same maximum no. of stitches round in the end round, etc :)

Like with all my patterns - I don't mind if you sell hats made using them. The way I see it is you're the one sitting there and making the actual item, and I just provide the instructions. I would however be very grateful for a shout out if you do sell hats on Etsy and places. Also, please don't copy other peoples designs - it's not cool and is upsetting to the designer - I've had it happen with my Punky Monkey hats before and it's not nice to see :(

Okie doke, I hope enjoy the pattern! <3

You Will Need:

  • Crochet Hook (I used 4mm, G)
  • Double Knit Yarn
  • Yarn/Embroidery Needle

Abbreviations
  • Ch - Chain Stitch
  • Sc - Single Crochet
  • Inc (Increase) - 2 Sc in 1 St
  • Dec (Decrease) - 1 Sc over 2 Sts

Gauge
  • 10 DC and 4 rows = 2’’ square approx.

Finished Size
  • With correct gauge, finished hat measures approx. 12’’ around.

Other Info
  • I write my patterns in American terms, so Sc means Single Crochet; Dc means Double Crochet etc.
  • The number at the end of each round is the number of stitches you should now have.
  • Please follow the gauge and adjust yarn and hook size if needed. Incorrect gauge will result in hat being a considerably different size to that stated.

Dal Hats

Just an update - all these Dal hats still available in my Etsy Shop!

I didn't realise I had so many backed up! I love making Dal hats - they are simpler than Neo hats and have a nice rounded shape - easier on the hands hehe :)

Have a nice weekend!

BCUK Update

This is the first batch of hats (and a dress set!) I've made for BCUK 2014 in Brighton later this year :)

I hope to have many more hats and bits made up by October, including some new items not available in my Etsy shop, including some 'human' stuff too hehe!

If you are in the Brighton area at the start of October, or indeed the UK, please come and visit me and all the other vendors at BlytheCon UK! I've been keeping a close eye on how things are going with the convention preparation and it is gearing up to be a great day - with vendors, activities, workshops, competitions, a charity raffle and much more. Plus it's in Brighton, which is an amazing town in itself :)

For more info and to book your ticket, please visit the Official BlytheCon UK Website

Hope to see you there!

Limited Edition Halloween Baby Fangster Hats for Neo Blythe

Felt like making something different hehe!

So I made this hat - it's your basic Baby Fangster hat but I used orange pastels instead of pink, and I sanded, primed, painted and sealed the orange horn beads myself

I'll only be making a handful of these hats, which will be available in the coming month before Halloween

More info coming soon - I hope you like them! <3

FREE PATTERN: Middie Basic Earflap Hat

Hi!

Apologies for not being about much - I've definitely been creating but unfortunately not blogging as much as I should be :(

To make up for it I have a free pattern for you! I have a few patterns out there for Neo Blythe, but so far not for poor Middie. So here you are :)

It's my Basic Earflap Hat in little Middie size - the pattern I use to make my Baby Fangster and Punky Monkey hats. It's pretty simple to follow - only the very basic of crochet knowledge is needed. In the pattern I use a 4mm crochet hook and DK yarn. You could use thin worsted or thick sport weight too I think - have a play and work with the gauge - see what works best for you :)

The hat has a lower back edge than front, and it also decreases in to hug the back of the head, like this:

Directions on how to do this are all in the pattern below :)

So without further ado, here's the pattern. I hope you enjoy it! Andyquestions please feel free to leave a comment below :)

New Arrival!

Introducing Dryo!!

My very first Engendrito and BJD, all at the same time!

I'm so pleased with him - he's the cutest thing I've seen in a long time! He hasn't got a name yet, so I'm just calling him Dryo for now lol :P

I hope to be making some hats and jumper dresses for
Engendrito sized dolls soon - will keep you updated!

A Set, or Individual Items?

I made one of my Oversized Jumper Dresses for Dal the other day, then made a hat in the matching colour yarn to become a Baby Fangster hat.

I put them both on my model (Apple!) and it got me thinking - does it make a cute set? Or is it just crochet overload?!

I would really appreciate any opinions on this! Thank you!

Frogger - No.1 Hat Model!

Lol!

Also just a quick notice - I'm hoping to have my hat patterns for Neo, Middie and Dal available at my Etsy shop some time in May! You will then be able to make your own cute hat creations!

Will update soon!

Incoming!

I caved in and ordered a Yellow Marshmallow! Isn't she cute?!

I said I'd never buy another Takara again, what with being disappointed with the recent quality control issues. I got andAyanami Rei (my Noriko) and her hair was just, well, look...

Bleh.

And to tell you the truth, after a lot of conditioning treatments she's not that much better. So I said I wouldn't get another Takara again.

But then I saw this little cutie and I couldn't resist lol I love everything about her - her hair colour and cut, that hoodie, the boots, her eye colour - everything!

She is a gift to myself, for when I complete my craft room. It's under construction at the moment, and involves ALOT of clearing out of old bits and pieces, which I find hard to let go of as I'm a hoarder. But I now how I MUST finish it if I am to get my hands on this sweetie!

Material Girl

Today Fu helped me sort through some forgotten fabric I had in a cupboard! I have TONNES of the stuff - must be at least 150 different prints.

Time for some dresses, me thinks...

Custom Hat Service!

I'm pleased to announce I am now offering a new Custom Hat Service in my Etsy shop!

Ever wanted your own unique hat for your girl? Have ideas but can't make it yourself? Here's your chance to get just that!

This listing is for 1 x Custom Neo Blythe hat - design service and production.

I will:

. Work with you closely on your ideas for your own original crocheted Blythe hat. I can either help with the design by suggesting ideas/colour schemes/materials or take total direction from you.

. Gather all materials and embellishments needed to create your hat (yarn, felt, buttons, beads, pom poms, appliqué, embroidery etc)

. Make your hat for you. Your hat will be OOAK - I will never recreate your hat to sell in my shop as my own pattern.

Please note I will not make or recreate an existing hat. I respect other crochet artists work and would not dream of coping their designs.

Please see my shop for details <3
